Following the retirement of Rev. Philip Payne in July, the North Bosmere Benefice has been in a period known by the Church of England as an ‘interregnum’. This means that there is no priest appointed to the Benefice.

The Parochial Church Councils (PCCs) of each parish in the Benefice have been busy working towards appointing a new priest. Each parish provides a short precis of information about their church and related activities. These are compiled into a Benefice Profile which will be available to prospective candidates. The process is supported by the Diocese and overseen by a Bishop or Archdeacon. The advertisement for the new priest has now been agreed by representatives from all the parishes and will be launched in January. Potential candidates will be interviewed in February by representatives from each parish and Diocesan representatives.
During the ‘interregnum’ there may be changes to the normal cycle of services throughout the parishes, so please check the Benefice Notice each week to find out where and when the services will take place.
