12 July 2019 – High Sheriff opens Rosie’s Cottages.
The Day Foundation’s latest venture, starter homes for young people, was formally opened today by Mrs Roz Eminson, High Sheriff of Suffolk, outside Rosie’s Cottages in Coddenham High St. Mrs Eminson met our new residents, Bliss Marshall and Amy Butcher, and had a guided tour of both properties.
The cottages have been called Rosie’s Cottages in memory of Rowena Clark (Rosie), who was a Trustee of the Foundation and who very sadly died in 2017 at the age of 45. Rosie was born and brought up in the village, known to all and had always been involved in different aspects of village life.
Also at the celebration were Rosie’s son, Charlie, and her parents, Brenda and Gerry Goodchild, Dr Dan Poulter, MP, District Councillor John Field, and a number of village residents.
