Coddenham History Club are the custodians of the many finds from the archaeological dig that took place at the Roman Villa site in Coddenham in the 1990s.
The History Club have always hoped to be able to display the finds for all to see. At long last a home has been found for a permanent display in St Mary’s Church. The Parochial Church Council (PCC) are delighted that the display has found a home in the Church. The History Club were able to obtain an oak display cabinet from Ipswich Museum. Fortunately the Museum was disposing of the cabinets due to a refit.
The display case now houses a fascinating display of Roman artefacts all found in Coddenham. Many thanks to Sylvia and Sally for their hard work in arranging the display and providing information about the finds.
