The first National Day of Reflection organised by MarieCurie will take place on Tuesday 23rd March 2021
On the first anniversary of UK lockdown many national organisations are supporting this initiative to commemorate the tragic loss of life during the Coronavirus pandemic and to show support for all those who are grieving. This annual day will be a time for us all to pause and think about the loss we are facing and to support each other through the years to come.
The following activities are suggested as part of the national event
- Join a minutes silence at 12 noon
- shine a light at 8pm
- reach out to someone you know going through bereavement – send flowers, write a card or have a chat
- show your support by creating a colourful poster for your window
Locally St Mary’s Church will be open for private prayer from 8.30am until 4.30pm. Please take this opportunity to find a quiet place to reflect on the last year in your own way.
