Following last years grant by Mid Suffolk District Council to improve the Coddenham Centre’s security and access controls, we have been able to complete work during the recent temporary closure.
Despite last week’s thick snow, Trustees and Staff with the support of Suffolk Fire & Security, established a new locking system and have introduced new alarms and closed circuit television.
The digital locks provide unique personalised access for individual hirers, which can be controlled remotely. This offers a clear log of movements and reduces the need for onsite attendance. In the event of difficulties (or alarm), Staff and Trustees can immediately view the premises and intervene. Integrated management of smoke alarm and fire prevention maintenance will also offer better economies.
Thanks again to Councillors John Whitehead and Tim Passmore for their support, Michael Woods at Suffolk F&S and our Trustees & staff.
