Many thanks to all those who organised and supported the Flower Festival at St Mary’s at the weekend.  We were blessed with amazing weather and lots of visitors.

The event was held to Celebrate Life and particularly, to celebrate the life of Dorothy Lay a former Coddenham resident and church warden at St Mary’s.  Dorothy was a very talented lady; a bell ringer, flower arranger, quilter, cook etc and the amazing floral displays reflected her many talents.  Stowmarket Flower Club helped to create the displays (Dorothy was one of their members) and the event was coordinated by Judy Hailes and Margaret Baker.

Delicious refreshments were provided throughout the weekend and the event culminated in a Songs of Praise led by Rev. Helen Norris.

All proceeds will go towards the upkeep of our historic church.
